Tis The Season for Giving….to your community. Why don’t you volunteer for Samford Commons and help create the kind of community you wish to live in?
You will have seen articles and heard news in the past few months about the great achievements and steps forward for Samford Commons. We have our first building and now it is time for the rubber to hit the road!
Now is your time to contribute and be a part of the story unfolding……should you be inspired to do so!
We require the following volunteers starting as soon as possible:
Volunteer Co-ordinator
Your role will be to help support our wonderful volunteers and to recruit new volunteers as opportunities arise. This role requires someone with good people skills and an ability to inspire and motivate others to action. The role requires 5 – 10 hours per month and we need you now!
Administration Extraordinaire
Your role will be to support with systems, processes and administration. A lot of the groundwork has been done and now we need someone to maintain it. You will have good computer skills and attention to detail. Your role will be to keep the database up to date and support the working groups with some scheduling and word processing. This role requires approximately 10 hours per month and we need you now!
Marketing Working Group
The marketing working group is seeking some new members to support with the creation of our communications calendar, event planning and creating/writing materials to support our fundraising efforts. You will have strong communication skills and ideally a background in marketing and communications. These roles required attendance at 1 meeting per month and some work in between.
Editor/Content Creator
We are about to launch the new blog for Samford Connect (the digital outreach for Samford Commons). Whilst much of the content will be created by others, we need an editor to proof read and edit where necessary. Help us tell the story of Samford Commons as it unfolds. You will have previous experience in writing or editing and be available for up to 10 hours per month.
